Menú del día in València
The set lunch at restaurants in the city of València: price, first courses, mains and hours, as each venue publishes them on its own website or on WMenu. We read the websites at 10:30 and 12:30 Madrid time. Dish names stay in Spanish, the way the venue writes them.
No menus are published yet. We are reviewing the websites of restaurants in the city, and the first ones will appear here once they pass review.
How a menú del día works
It is a fixed-price lunch. You pick one first course (primero) and one main (segundo) from a short list, then dessert (postre) or coffee. Bread and a drink are part of the price at many places but not all, so each card below lists what that venue includes.
A card without days or hours means the venue's website does not say. Ask before you sit down: some places serve the menu on weekdays only and switch to the à la carte menu in the evening.

How this list is made
Only venues with a postcode inside the city, 46001 to 46026, are listed. Xirivella, Paterna and Torrent have postcodes of their own and stay out, even when their websites say «Valencia». A person reviews each venue's first menu before it goes live, and a price that moves more than 40% between two readings goes back to review.
All-you-can-eat buffets and weekend, group and tasting menus come from the same websites, and each kind has a tab of its own. None of them goes live until a person has reviewed it, even at a venue whose menú del día publishes itself. A buffet charges one price at lunch, another at dinner, a third at weekends and less for children. Its card lists each price with its days; the large figure is the cheapest adult price.
A venue gets one card per tab. On top is its cheapest menu that anyone can order; a students-only or takeaway-only menu leads only when the venue has nothing else. Its other menus sit underneath, one line each with price and days, and a tap opens the dishes. A filter keeps the venue if any of its menus passes, and shows just those.
Restaurants that use WMenu post their menu from their own dashboard, and those cards carry a «From the venue» label. We do not review them; the owner writes them. A dated menu shows up to 6 days ahead, and a weekly one drops off if the venue has not saved it again within 60 days. When the same venue also posts a menu on its website, only the WMenu one is listed.
«Today» appears only when the venue puts a date on its menu. If the website says «de lunes a viernes» (Monday to Friday) with no date, we show those days and promise nothing about today's dishes: a website can lag behind the board at the door.
When a venue's website stops answering, its card says so after 2 days and disappears after 14. The price and dishes that count are the ones you are told at the table.
Run a restaurant here?
If your menu is on WMenu, add the lunch in the Lunches section of your dashboard (Menús del día in Spanish). It appears here within 15 minutes, on any plan, the free one included. If you only post it on your website, send the link to info@wmenu.eu and we will add it. Another email to the same address takes it off.
