QR menu for restaurant chains

Five venues means five menus, five print runs and five versions of the same cappuccino price. In WMenu each venue keeps its own menu, QR codes and statistics, while your accountant receives one invoice for the group — with a discount that starts at 2 venues.

Every venue's panel under one owner e-mail address, with no reprint after a price change.

What breaks once there is more than one venue

A price changed in one venue, not in three others

The increase goes live in the flagship, while the paper menu in the other venues shows the old price for another two weeks. A regular who knows the chain spots the difference and asks the waiter why it costs more here.

One print run times the number of venues

A menu change is not one printer's invoice but eight. Add a courier to every address and a week in which some venues work from the old version and some from the new.

Different languages in every city

The venue by the old town square needs English and German; the one on a housing estate needs only the local language. A single printed menu for all is either too thick or ignores the tourists.

A franchisee added a dish of his own

The menu follows the brand book, yet in one venue a taped-up sheet with the soup of the day sits by the till in a different font. The brand owner learns about it from a Google review.

One owner, several panels — how it really works

In WMenu a chain is not one account with a list of addresses but a separate account for every venue. Each has its own menu, its own QR codes, its own Google-indexed page and its own subscription. The café at the station can sell a cappuccino for €3.50 and the same brand in a shopping centre for €3.00, and no edit in one panel rewrites prices in the other.

All of those accounts can belong to one owner e-mail address. The group manager logs in once and moves between venues. Whoever holds a venue's login edits its menu — so whether a franchisee gets a login is decided by head office, not by the panel.

What WMenu does not do for a chain today

There is no central menu you edit once and publish to every venue. A cappuccino price increase across 5 venues is typed into 5 panels. For one item that is a few minutes per venue; for a new seasonal menu of 20 items it adds up to hours. Nor is there a shared dashboard adding up scans or orders across the group — you read statistics in each venue separately and build the group summary in a spreadsheet.

Table bookings and prepaid events also live inside a venue: a guest books a specific address, not the chain. Groups that work with WMenu handle it like this: one person at head office edits every panel from one login, and for bigger changes sends photos or a PDF to our team, which enters the menu in each venue. If your chain replaces the whole menu weekly across 15 venues, that manual work becomes a real cost — raise it in the call before you sign.

One invoice, a discount from 2 venues

Every venue has its own subscription: BASIC €15, STANDARD €29, PRO €45 or PREMIUM €59 net per month — and venues in one chain need not be on the same plan. The delivery site takes PREMIUM with commission-free online ordering; the café in the mall stays on STANDARD with the brand's logo and colours. On the pricing page the chain discount has tiers at 2+, 3+ and 5+ venues. We agree the size of the discount with each chain individually and do not show it in the panel, which is why the quote comes from a call, not a click. The invoice is a single one, covering every venue in the agreement.

Languages, colours and pixels — separately in each city

The menu has up to 80 language versions translated with one click, and you switch them on per venue: the old-town venue gets English, German and Italian, the suburban one keeps a single language so the menu stays short. Brand colours and logo (from the STANDARD plan) are set in each panel to the brand book — once per venue. The Facebook pixel and Google Ads tag are also attached per venue, so an opening campaign in Lyon measures only Lyon scans, not the whole group's traffic.

Poster POS in half the venues? That's fine

The Poster POS integration is switched on in the venues that run Poster; the rest of the chain works without it. The same goes for per-table QR codes and floor zones on the PREMIUM plan: a 120-seat venue gets a code on every table, a takeaway hatch gets one code at the till. If the chain runs two different POS systems, menu orders reach the till only where Poster is; in the other venues staff re-enter them by hand.

Benefits

What WMenu gives a group that a single subscription cannot

  • A separate menu, QR codes and prices in every venue — nothing gets mixed
  • One joint invoice for accounting instead of an invoice from each venue
  • A discount from 2 venues, higher at 3 and at 5 — the amount agreed per chain
  • All venue panels under one owner e-mail address
  • 80 menu languages switched on separately in a tourist venue and a local one
  • Menu traffic reported per address rather than for the brand as a whole

Owner account and venue logins

You create every venue account on one owner e-mail address, and the manager on site gets a login only to his own. When you want the menu in one pair of hands, you don't hand the login over — the franchisee receives ready QR codes to print.

A menu from PDF in every venue

Menus across a chain differ by a few items and the prices, so you import the flagship's PDF into each panel and fix the differences. From 10 venues up it's easier to send us the files — we'll enter them in every account and you only check the prices.

Statistics per address

Scans, languages and devices are read separately in each venue. If the station venue gets most of its scans in English and the suburban one almost only in the local language, you see it without guessing. There is no group total in the panel — you compile it in a spreadsheet once a month.

Every venue's page on Google

Each address gets its own public menu page that Google indexes. A guest searching for “chain name + city” lands on that city's menu with that city's prices, not on a generic brand page.

How a chain comes into WMenu

01

Create the flagship's account

Register the first venue on the owner's e-mail address — no credit card, the first month on BASIC is free. You'll attach the other accounts to the same address.

02

Send in every venue's menu

You import photos or a PDF from each venue into its own panel, or hand the files to our team to enter. Price differences between cities stay in the menus.

03

Sign the chain agreement

Leave your number in the form: we agree the discount for the number of venues, the joint invoice and the payment term. The agreement is signed remotely.

Frequently asked questions

Does the chain get one invoice for all venues?

Yes. Every venue has its own subscription, but for a chain we agree one joint invoice and shared payment terms in the contract. That is arranged on the contract side, not in the panel — which is why it starts with a conversation through the form.

Can I change a price once for all venues?

No. The menus are separate, so you enter the increase in each venue's panel. With 3 venues and one item that is a few minutes; when replacing the whole menu in 10 venues, hand the entry to our team — you send the PDF, we type it in.

How big is the chain discount?

The tiers are 2+, 3+ and 5+ venues; the more venues in the agreement, the lower the price for each. We set the amount individually and it appears neither on the pricing page nor in the panel. State the number of venues in the form and we'll call back with a concrete quote.

Do the venues have to be on the same plan?

No. A venue with delivery can be on PREMIUM (€59) with online ordering, while a café without delivery stays on STANDARD (€29). The chain discount is counted from the number of venues in the agreement, not from the plan.

Can a franchisee change the menu on his own?

He can, if he holds the login to his venue's account — the panel makes no distinction between head office and franchise. If the brand wants to control the menu, head office creates the venue's account and enters the changes itself, and the franchisee receives only the QR codes.

Can I see the whole chain's statistics in one place?

No. The traffic report opens in each venue's panel on its own, and you build the group summary yourself, for example in a spreadsheet once a month. Bookings and events are per venue too.

Where do I start so I'm not rolling out 8 venues at once?

Create the flagship's account — the first month on BASIC is free, with no card. Once the menu and QR codes work in one place, attach the other venues on the same e-mail and only then sign the chain agreement with the discount.
